75 Thoughts Every Runner Has While Out For A Run

“I don’t even like running.”


1. What a beautiful day for a run!
2. This sucks.
3. Well, five miles is only two and half miles each way, which is basically two miles each way, so I’m really only running four miles. That’s not too far.
4. It’s starting to feel far.
5. How long have I been running? A year?
6. SIX MINUTES?! 
7. I can barely remember what my life was like before I started this run.
8. OK, concentrate. There are still four-plus miles to go. 
9. But who counts the first and last mile? This is pretty much an easy three miler. 
10. Oh, shit! A fellow jogger!
11. Should I wave?
12. I’m totally gonna wave.
13. OOOK, they didn't wave back. Never doing that again.
14. Just keep running, no one saw. Except that old guy who may or may not be averting his eyes.
15. Man, I think I’m hitting that “second wind” thing my gym coach was talking about.
16. Wait, never mind. I've been running down a decline. 
17. If I leap to avoid dog shit, does that make me a CrossFit athlete?
18. What the heck is CrossFit anyway?

65. That’s just 15 miles each way, which is practically 10, and 10 is twice five, and I can run five miles EASY.
66. That’s it, I’m doing it. Thirty miles.
67. Thirty-mile marathon…30-mile marathon…30 Rock marathon.
68. On second thought, I’ll probably just binge-watch every episode of 30 Rock. That takes a lot of dedication and I will be winded from laughing so hard.
69. But I could probably do a marathon IF I wanted. 
70. OK, almost home. Should I shower first and order pizza or order pizza and shower before it shows up?
71. Yep, definitely ordering first. I earned that shit.
72. Oh, no. Oh god no. Another runner. Should I wave?
73. No, be strong! Do not get burned again.

Ginger Garlic Chicken Rice

Hihi...lama tak masak kan? Tulah tajuk pun letak poyo-poyo je. Cakap omputeh konon. Nasi Ayam Halia + Bawang Putih. Saya rasa tajuk yang lebih sesuai mungkin 'Nasi Ayam Ragu-ragu'. Haha..sebab saya pun doubtful jadi ke tidak nasi saya ni.

Eh..sedaplah haii!!! Sambil type ni sambil terkenang-kenang. Dah la masak & makan sorang-sorang. Rasa puas hati sangatlah. Saya masak ni untuk dinner semalam. Anak-anak saya semua dah kenyang makan di rumah nanny. 

Hubs pulak ada game bola di Selayang. Final katanya Piala FA rasanya. Hahah...sebenarnya saya sokong je 100% apa-apa saja yang suami saya suka. Yang paling dia happy buat sekarang ni ialah manage Team Bola Kelab Sultan Sulaiman dia tu. Kejap FA, kejap Super League. Tapi selalunya saya tak faham apa yang dia cerita. Tapi saya dengar sambil angguk-angguk jugak. Konon-konon memahami & mengambil berat serta excited dengar cerita dia tu..haha...padahal saya selalunya imagine yang saya tengah menang lari half marathon..haha! Yang penting dia happy dan kalau team dia menang dia akan good mood sepanjang hari dan mungkin sepanjang minggu. Kalau saya bertuah mungkin dia akan belikan saya kasut baru ke, jam baru ke..sebab dia happy...

So..now you know adik-adik...always make you husband happy untuk kesenangan kita sendiri di hari muka...kahkahkah!

Sambung cerita nasi ayam. Sambil ragu-ragu tak menjadi entah tidak. Sambil-sambil whatsapp Emma kawan saya share-share gambar makanan dinner kami. Saya pun tanya Emma macam mana nak kukus nasi. Emma cakap kena masak macam biasa guna rice cooker lepas tu baru pindah masuk pengukus. Saya pemalas.

So saya cakap...aku nak guna rice cooker je. Tak payah aku basuh banyak periuk. Haha..pemalas kan...jangan ikut perangai ni tau. Siap cakap dengan Emma, kalau lepas ni aku diam je tak update ko pasal nasi ayam aku ni, maknanya aku nak buang nasi tu dalam tong sampah ok. Jangan tanya-tanya...hahaha...

Bembahan (1 orang)
1 ketul ayam (saya guna bahagian thigh)
1/4 pot beras
1 inci halia (tumbuk lumat)
3-4 ulas bawang putih (cincang halus)
1 biji bawang besar (potong 4 atau 6)
Serbuk ayam knorr

Bahan tambahan (ikut suka):-
1/2 biji tomato
Brokoli
Chinese Spinach
Cili api
Kicap

Cecara:-
  1. Rebus ayam separuh masak. Dalam air rebusan tu saya letak serbuk ayam knorr tu. Tu memang rahsia memasak saya..haha..syhh..Tambah-tambah lah nak letak garam ke sos tiram ke..ikut suka. Saya tak letak pun. Hanya guna serbuk ayam knorr.
  2. Bila dah separuh masak, tutup api dan biarkan sekejap.
  3. Cuci beras bersih-bersih, masukkan air rebusan ayam tadi tu untuk masak nasi tu. Ha..ni kena pandai-pandai sukat air lah ye. Macam masak nasi biasa. 
  4. Air rebusan yang lebih tu jangan buang tau. Biarkan dulu dalam periuk tu.
  5. Campakkan bawang besar tadi dalam periuk nasi tu. Lepas tu Letakkan ayam separuh masak tadi atas beras tu (rujuk gambar di bawah)
  6. Atas ayam tu letakkan halia & bawang putih kita tadi. Pandai-pandailah buat..hahaha..teruk betul tukang kasi resepi ni kan...main taram.
  7. Masak nasi macam biasa. 40-45 minit siap!!!!! Sedapnya bau halia satu rumah wangi.
  8. Brokoli & Chinese spinach tu saya rebus sekejap je guna air lebihan rebusan ayam tadi. Lepas tu boleh letak dalam pinggan bersama dengan nasi ayam halia + garlic.
  9. Cili potong saya letak kicap manis cap kipas udang & letak air rebusan tu 2 sudu besar kasi kicap cair sikit.
  10. Makaaaannn!!!! Ummmm...sedap!!! Boleh lawan Old Town Kopitian punya Ginger Chicken Rice.

All in one pot!! Easy peasy!


Memang ngam-ngam cukup untuk perut saya. Nyumm!!! Makan sambil tengok cerita Criminals Mind. Sekali dalam cerita tu ada orang muntah pulak...tapi disebabkan nasi ayam garic ginger saa ni sedap sangat...saya tak heran orang muntah tu...huummm...

P/S: Hari ni saya happy! Sebab dapat kawan baru. Dah lah saya memang adore dia dah lama. Dah sampai tahap stalker...hahaha... nanti-nantilah saya cerita...

Bukit Jalil Half Marathon 2015

Date : 8 March 2015 (Sunday)

Venue : Stadium Bukit Jalil - KL

Distance: 11km

Timing : 1h 20m 57s.



Assalamualaikum semua.

Saya happy semalam & masih happy hari ini. Kenapa? Sebab hari Ahad yang lepas saya & TunTun berjaya dalam 10km race kami dengan catatan masa yang membanggakan diri kami sendiri.

Saya tak pakai official shirt sebab saya eksyen..hoho

Well, saya kan injured dari November 2014. So no exercise at all, for 2 freaking months. Saya memang down giler. Saya terus minta cuti 2 bulan juga dari gym saya. Mintak cuti so that tak payah bayar le membership for 2 month juer kan...

So starting early February saya dah sihat sepenuhnya. Saya pun started training semula. Owwhhh berat naik 5kg ok. So masa mula-mula berlari tu memang frustrated sangat sebab memang terasa berat & terhempap-hempap berlari tu. Tapi saya teruskan juer sebab kali ni saya akan berlari dengan Tuntun. Wokayy...jomlah kita check it out. 

Pepagi buta Tun dah gerak dari Seremban untuk fetch saya. Dia sampai tepat pukul 5.00am. Sampai stadium Tun nak gi toilet la pulookkk! Hoh...dia ni memang..manjang toilet tau. Masa dia dalam toilet tu saya call dia few times lah jugak..hahaha...saya tau saya annoying. Tapi saya terpaksa call sebab dah nak flag off dah. So dengan itu maka tiadalah gambar sebeum kejadian sebab tak sempat posing. 

Saya terjumpa Anees - kawan saya masa kar MRSM dulu. Dia pun tengah beratur tunggu toilet. Anees pun runner yang hebat!

Finally sempat la kami berlari-lari. 5km pertama kami berlari bersaing-sainglah. Semasa kami ketama kali berlari bersama masa IJM Run last year. Masa tu kami hanya lari 5km saja. Masa tu Tun lari macam nyonya ok. Tangan saja yang bergerak konon-kononnya laju. Tapi kaki tak bergerak pun. Tapi kali ini tidak...Tun memang laju. Membuatkan saya terpaksa push diri sendiri untuk berlari sama laju disebelah dia heheeh...syabas baby girl!!

Pada kilometer yang ke-5 kalau tak salah saya, kami terpisah. Rasanya saya terkedepan kot. Tun pulak berusaha bersungguh-sungguh untuk mengejar. Tapi sampai sudah dia tak nampak saya di depan dia katanya. 

Ni masa baru sampai selfie lah dulu kan.

Saya mengesyaki bahawa Tun tak perasan bahawa dia telahpun memotong saya. Sebab kali ini Tun memang dasyat lajunya. Tidak boleh dipanggil nyonya lagi. Mungkin lebih layak dipanggil ahmoi. Bila dia tidak perasan bahawa dia telah memotong saya maka dia pun menambah kelajuan dia maka saya lebih terkebelakang dengan maha hebat jauhnya ketinggalan. Haha...

Sampai lah kegarisan penamat memang kami tidak berjumpa. Bila saya dah sampai saya sempat selfie 2-3 keping. Lepas tu terus call Tun sebab kami belum solat Subuh!!! Nak tahu.... khemah untuk kaum Muslim bersolat Subuh ada disediakan. Tetapi dalam 2km selepas berlari Dah la waktu perlepasan pada pukul 5.40am. 2km berlari tu belum masuk waktu solat daa....

Tapi tak mengapa. Sebab itu menjadi faktor pemangkin kami untuk memecut lebih laju supaya sempat sampai ke garisan penamat dan sempat bersolat sebelum fajar!! Chewaaahhh gitu. Dan ya!!! Kami sempat!!!! Solat di Surau Stadium Bukit Jalil tu. Surau nye selesa dan bersih, tetapi takde telekung. Sehelai pun takde. Maka kami tiada pilihan selain daripada solat dengan pakaian yang kami sedang pakai. Ya Allah terimalah solat ku...Amiiinnn...

Saya rasa sedikit bertuah sebab saya pakai baju lengan panjang yang tak ketat & seluar panjang. Kalau saya pakai seluar pendek macam mana? Hahah...gile ke kan..pakai seluar pendek lepas tu pakai tudung...hohohoh. Terima kasih dekat hubster sebab belikan saya baju tu...muackssss!!! Kasut pun dapat sponsor ok. Bertuahlah saya menjadi bini dia...hokhok!!

Auntie-auntie perkasa berjaya lari 11km

So lepas solat tu barulah kami berposing-posing dengan happy nya. Overall saya rasa happy sangat sebab saya dapat lari dengan BFF saya. Yang sanggup datang dari jauh ok. Entah pukul berapa dia bangun pagi tu agaknya. Yang kedua saya happy sebab saya lari laju dari biasa. Saya target 78mins untuk 10km. Tapi saya dapat buat 11km in 80mins. That's awesome!! (For me lah....)


Saya juer jumpa V. Ex-colleague yang rajn berlari juer. Dia 9 years senior than me tapi masih active berlari. She's a lawyer tau. Semua ni mak-mak handalan. Yang adik comel kiri sekali tu pun handal juer. Dia beberapa saat di depan saya. Tapi dia kategori K (Women Open) ..kami veteran hok hok...dah tua. Eh..tapi kami kuat ok!

I love this pic. Sebab nampak sign Stadium Bukit Jalil tu. Walaupun lipstick dah terpadam & gigi arnab terserlah...tapi tak pe..saya share juer gambar ni.

Nah ni yang saya captured guna app di phone saya. 727calories burned. Lepas tu saya belanja Tun makan nasi lemak tawaf..haahah...tambah calorie semula 



This is the official result. Saya nombor 51dari 187 runners category M (Woman Veteran). My timing was great too. Kalau saya letak timing saya dekat Women Open, saya nombor 125 dari 600 runners. Not bad kan...ok lepas ni boleh masuk Women Open lah hihi..eksyen kan? By the way, TunTun kesayangan saya nombor 63. Her timing was good. Super good actually. I'm proud of her. Kawan saya hebat!!

Confession

Hi - My name is Intan
When nobody's looking, I will eat like Setan (now..that's rhyme!! haha)

But sometimes I feel like I am gile
Because I can still eat even though I'm already full
But I just keep on sumbat the food
Until that very last piece of kerepek or dark chocolate in the fridge gone licin
Notice that I tulis 'dark chocolate'?
It's healthier than milk choc kan?
Tapi kalau dah seketul besar makan sampai habis the whole chocs, mana datang healthy nye?


Yes I regret when I makan like setan
I just regret but it doesn't stop me from continue makan

I actually hate running
Because I run like a girl
Or maybe like a tortoise
By the way I am a girl
Owh no..maybe I am auntie-auntie

Running also very penat ok!
And peluh-peluh sweating like mad
And your face pun bila tak cukup nafas looks like gorilla
And ketiak also boleh tahan lah masyam
I hate it when I am not cantik
But I run anyway


Yes I go to gym
I am not really in love with the gym
The best that I can do maybe 3 times per week
But normally 2 times
Or maybe once
But I go to the gym anyway


Eat clean? What's that
I eat almost everything - a lot!
But I think now is the right time to start
To eat clean

So I think I better eat a skinny person


It's hard to eat clean
Harder than running & other exercise
But I must try

This is my body
I'm trying to lose weight
Even though I memang selalu kalah
But I wont quit
No I don't hate my current body
Because I only have one body
So I don't have the choice rather than jaga this body baik-baik 



 So please help me.
Maybe doa for me
Doa that I will rajin lari & gym
Doa that I will eat as clean as possible

I know I'm doing it badly & slowly
But I just have to keep doing it
